79th Independence Day 15 August 2025
Jharkhand Eye Bank Hospital and Research Centre
The Jharkhand Eye Bank, Hospital and Research Centre, Bariatu Road, Ranchi, commemorated the 79th Independence Day with a dignified and heartfelt ceremony.
Dr. Ajay Kumar Singh of RPS Hospital hoisted the National Flag, joined by honoured guest Dr. Prashant Karan, retired IPS officer. Students led the gathering in singing the National Anthem, followed by a selection of patriotic songs that added to the spirit of the occasion.
Gifts were distributed to the children and their accompanying teachers by Dr. Singh
Dr. Prashant Karan and Sri Ajay Jain, Trustee of Bihar Eye Bank Trust,
Dr. Singh addressed the students and reminded the students of the sacrifices made by freedom fighters and the value of the freedom we enjoy today.
Dr. Karan encouraged the young attendees to read about these national heroes and to carry forward their legacy by contributing positively to society.

Dr. Vinita Sinha was present from the hospital. Among the trustees of Bihar Eye bank Trust, the Secretary, Dr. P. Sinha, the Treasurer Sri S. S. Dubey and Trustee Sri Ajay Kumar Jain attended.
☕ Following the ceremony, hospital trustees and guests engaged in discussions on institutional matters over tea and refreshments.

Jharkhand Eye Bank Hospital and Research Centre is run by Bihar Eye Bank Trust, a registered charitable trust (No. 17174 of 1974 under the Indian Trust Act), founded by Late N. Bakshi I.C.S. The Trust is headed by H.E. the Governor of Jharkhand and includes other state dignitaries.
The Bihar Eye Bank Trust is a permanent member of Eye Bank Association of India and is registered under the District Blindness Control Society, Ranchi.
The Hospital is housed in a three-storied building standing on 0.7 acres of land in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. It is easily reached road, rail and air.
