Jharkhand Eye Bank Participates in Sampurna Swasthya Mela at Patratu Lions Club Ranchi Greater

A mega health camp, Sampurna Swasthya Mela, was organised at Vidyalaya Parisar, Sauda Basti, in Patratu block of Ramgarh district on Saturday, 3 October 2026 by Lions Club Ranchi Greater. The camp was held from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and brought together healthcare professionals and organisations from different medical specialities at one location.
The participating organisations included Balaji Raj Pvt. Ltd., represented by Sri Sadanand Prasad; Jharkhand Pradesh Saundik Sangha, Ramgarh; HEC Paras Hospital, represented by cardiologist Dr. Abhijeet Kumar and Dr. Rishabh; CCL Hospital in the Barka Saya area, represented by Dr. Riya, a physician, Gurunanak Hospital represented by onco-pathologist Dr. Harminder Singh along with Jharkhand Eye Bank, Hospital and Research Centre.. The Red Cross Society organised a blood donation camp as part of the event.

Jharkhand Eye Bank, Hospital and Research Centre, Ranchi, participated in the camp to provide eye examinations and consultation to people with eye-related problems. The team of Dr. Ashish Joy Soren, assisted by Sri Kalyan Ghorai and Sri Mukesh Kumar Singh attended to the patients. Sister Sushanti from Seventh-day Adventist Hospital also joined the team for the camp.

The Jharkhand Eye Bank team registered and examined 115 patients during the camp. The participation provided local residents with access to eye-care services alongside consultations in other medical specialities.
The Camp
The camp was well attended, with people visiting the various medical service units throughout the day. The initiative brought different healthcare providers together, making medical consultations and screening services available to residents of the area at a single venue.
Organizer
Jharkhand Eye Bank Hospital and Research Centre is run by Bihar Eye Bank Trust, a registered charitable trust (No. 17174 of 1974 under the Indian Trust Act), founded by Late N. Bakshi I.C.S. The Trust is headed by H.E. the Governor of Jharkhand and includes other state dignitaries.
The Bihar Eye Bank Trust is a permanent member of Eye Bank Association of India and is registered under the District Blindness Control Society, Ranchi.
The Hospital is housed in a three-storied building standing on 0.7 acres of land in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. It is easily reached road, rail and air.
