77th Anniversary of Republic Day Celebration

Republic Day 2026 was celebrated with great fervour at the Jharkhand Eye Bank, Hospital and Research Centre, run by the Bihar Eye Bank Trust. The ceremony began at 11 a.m., with staff and guests assembling for the occasion.
Dr. P. Sinha, Secretary of Bihar Eye Bank Trust, welcomed the guests and invited Dr. T.P. Barnwal, senior doctor of the hospital and former Deputy Director, Department of Health Jharkhand, to hoist the national flag.

The staff and attendees joined in singing the National Anthem, filling the atmosphere with patriotic spirit.
Following the flag hoisting, gifts were distributed to children and staff.

Consultant Dr. Vinita Sinha attended the ceremony and actively participated in the celebrations.

Trustees Sri Ajay Kumar Jain, Joint Secretary, and Sri S. S. Dubey, Treasurer, also took part in the gift distribution.

The event concluded with the distribution of sweets and samosas to all present. Guests, doctors, and trustees then gathered inside for tea and snacks, where various matters were discussed in a cordial atmosphere.

The day served as a heartening reminder of the value of our independence and the sacrifices made by our forefathers to secure it.

Jharkhand Eye Bank Hospital and Research Centre is run by Bihar Eye Bank Trust, a registered charitable trust (No. 17174 of 1974 under the Indian Trust Act), founded by Late N. Bakshi I.C.S. The Trust is headed by H.E. the Governor of Jharkhand and includes other state dignitaries.
The Bihar Eye Bank Trust is a permanent member of Eye Bank Association of India and is registered under the District Blindness Control Society, Ranchi.
The Hospital is housed in a three-storied building standing on 0.7 acres of land in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. It is easily reached road, rail and air.
