REPUBLIC DAY 2022!
The 73rd Republic Day in India was celebrated in Jharkhand Eye Bank Hospital and Research Centre, Bariatu Road, Ranchi.
Dr. T. P. Barnwal hoisted the National Flag
The National Flag was hoisted at 11.15 am by Dr. T. P. Barnwal, ophthalmologist.
Regrettably, owing to the pandemic situation, celebration had to be on a low scale. Every year school children from Hi-Q International Academy look forward to coming here to charm the audience with their patriotic songs and their rendition of the National Anthem. Since 2019 we have missed the presence of the bright enthusiastic youngsters. This year along with Dr. Barnwal, Dr. Vinita Sinha and Dr.Ashish Joy Soren were present. Trustees Sri S. S. Dubey and Sri Ajay Kumar Jain attended the flag hoisting. Patients waiting to see the doctor also participated and shared the tea and snacks at the end. Jharkhand Eye Bank Hospital and Research Centre is run by Bihar Eye Bank Trust, a registered charitable trust (No. 17174 of 1974 under the Indian Trust Act), founded by Late N. Bakshi I.C.S. The Trust is headed by H.E. the Governor of Jharkhand and includes other state dignitaries.
The Bihar Eye Bank Trust is a permanent member of Eye Bank Association of India and is registered under the District Blindness Control Society, Ranchi.
The Hospital is housed in a three-storied building standing on 0.7 acres of land in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. It is easily reached road, rail and air.
