Flag Hoisting in Jharkhand Eye Bank, Hospital and Research Centre, Bariatu Road, Ranchi
On Thursday 26 January 2023, Sri Samri Lal M. L. A. unfurled the National Flag in Jharkhand Eye Bank, Hospital and Research Centre, run by Bihar Eye Bank Trust, Bariatu Road, Ranchi at 10.45 a.m. He was welcomed by Sri S. S. Dubey, Treasurer, and Dr. P. Sinha, Secretary.
Sri Samri Lal asked Dr. P. Sinha, Secretary, Bihar Eye Bank Trust, who has been associated with this hospital for many years, to unfurl the national flag with him.
A number of children from Hi-Q International Academy came to sing patriotic songs and the national anthem. Sri Samri Lal distributed gifts to them and spoke to them asking them to always honour their motherland.
On the occasion of Republic Day, a free cataract operation camp was held in Thakurgaon on 24 January 2023. The patients operated from the camp were present at the flag hoisting. Sri Samri Lal told them they were people from his own constituency. The patients expressed their appreciation of their treatment in the hospital. Sri Samri Lal praised the hospital for doing so much for so many years for the people of this area.
Dr. Samuel Aman Toppo, Dr, Vinita Sinha and Dr. Ashish Joy Soren were present along with Dr. P. Sinha, Secretary, Sri S. S. Dubey, Treasurer and Sri S. Ghosh, Trustee.

Jharkhand Eye Bank Hospital and Research Centre is run by Bihar Eye Bank Trust, a registered charitable trust (No. 17174 of 1974 under the Indian Trust Act), founded by Late N. Bakshi I.C.S. The Trust is headed by H.E. the Governor of Jharkhand and includes other state dignitaries.
The Bihar Eye Bank Trust is a permanent member of Eye Bank Association of India and is registered under the District Blindness Control Society, Ranchi.
The Hospital is housed in a three-storied building standing on 0.7 acres of land in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. It is easily reached road, rail and air.
