On the occasion of Republic Day, January 26, 2024, the National Flag was hoisted by Dr. Vinita Sinha in Jharkhand Eye Bank, Hospital and Research Centre, Bariatu Road, Ranchi.

Dr. Vinita Sinha and other doctors also employed by the hospital, Dr. Samuel Aman Toppo and Dr. Ashish Joy Soren, were present. On behalf of Bihar Eye Bank Trust, which runs Jharkhand Eye Bank, Hospital, and Research Centre, Dr. P. Sinha Secretary and Sri S. S. Dubey Treasurer were present.

A number of invitees and some operating patients also attended the program. To mark the occasion, the OPD staff wore their new uniforms, which had just been delivered for the first time.

In keeping with a long-standing tradition, students of Hi-Q International Academy, Bariatu, came with their teachers to sing patriotic songs and the National Anthem.
This year, the students also performed two dance items, which were greatly enjoyed by the onlookers. Dr. Toppo addressed the students at the end and reminded them that all our political rights started with the Constitution on this day. He exhorted them to take the nation to greater heights.
At the end, a food packet and gifts were given to the students and other children present at the function.

Jharkhand Eye Bank Hospital and Research Centre is run by Bihar Eye Bank Trust, a registered charitable trust (No. 17174 of 1974 under the Indian Trust Act), founded by Late N. Bakshi I.C.S. The Trust is headed by H.E. the Governor of Jharkhand and includes other state dignitaries.
The Bihar Eye Bank Trust is a permanent member of Eye Bank Association of India and is registered under the District Blindness Control Society, Ranchi.
The Hospital is housed in a three-storied building standing on 0.7 acres of land in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. It is easily reached road, rail and air.
